Karachi Kings’ captain was disappointed with his team’s performance.
Karachi Kings’ skipper Imad Wasim has hinted at changes after his side’s disappointing performance against Islamabad United on Monday.
The defending champions find themselves in a tight spot after losing both their games since the restart of the HBL Pakistan Super League (PSL) season six.
“If you drop catches, this will happen. We played horribly, we have a lot to learn and a lot to improve. This is a setback,” said Imad after the match.
“As far as our bowling goes, we don’t have too many options. I had an injury to my finger, so I couldn’t bowl out. We need to make a few changes, we’ll have a chat about it,” he added.
Karachi are on the fourth position in the points table, because of a superior net run-rate as compared to Multan Sultans, with three wins after seven games.
Karachi failed to defend 191-run target as Islamabad romped to victory with 8 balls remaining.
“The kind of start we got, I think we were 15-20 short. We need to work on our run-scoring in the middle overs, look to target bowlers during that period. We played poorly, caught poorly,” he said.
“Our turnover time is very little, if we win three games, we will qualify. We have nothing to lose, we’ll come back hard,” he concluded.
